Cooking instructions kept the oven at a steady 200°C, with cooking times set in 10-minute blocks across the whole kitchen to save time, though the mash and minted peas oddly needed a microwave, and mine went on the hob instead. There was salmon with ratatouille, and for dessert, a lemon and Armagnac posset at £3.50 or an apple tarte fine at £4.50, both proving that this clean-deck approach to price never skipped on flavour.
